As you sift through the enticing menu, let me draw you into the world of their appetizers. The Papadum, a baked crispy thin lentil bread served with fresh mint chutney, is a perfect start to awaken your palate. The Vegetable Samosa, with its flaky pastry stuffed with spiced potatoes and green peas, paired with tamarind chutney, feels like a warm embrace from the Himalayas.
The soups are equally appealing—try the Daal Soup, a fragrant blend of mixed lentils that captures the heart of Himalayan spices. This dish is not only comforting but also nourishing, setting the stage for the main course.
When it comes to bread, the Garlic Cilantro Naan and the extravagant Himalayan Special Naan—stuffed with cashews, raisins, and coconut flakes—are showstoppers. Each bite tells a story of craftsmanship and tradition, enhancing your meal with their warm, inviting flavors.
Whether you dine in, use their drive-thru, or opt for private dining, Flavor of Himalaya continues to impress. Himalaya Nepal Indian food Many Vegan and vegetarian options Parking available Restrooms inside Spice level adjustments Fresh naan To go available Many menu options Service was friendly Indoor seating can handle large parties San Marcos North county

Went there during the lunch time. The place is big and nice decor. Their lunch specials are amazing. You pick two dishes with side of rice and naan. The naan was so good with curry. They offer many vegetarian dishes too. I need to go back there for dinner.

I just had the best lunch served by the nicest young man. The food is just like I remember in Chandigarh very flavorful and the vibe in there is very welcoming and relaxed. Out of all the places that I've been in San Diego. This is the best one. The saag was heaven and the chicken curry and naan were amazing. Absolutely coming back. Oh, and I had lunch and it was I think $12.95 or $11.95. To have a homemade meal for that price is unheard of. Great place

AHMAZING!!! I'm so glad to have a good Indian/ Himalayan food option close to home. The chicken vindaloo is my go to but their spice levels are no joke so I keep it at 5 even though I like spicy. I've enjoyed the momos, jalfraize and masala. Their naan is so good!

Finally decided to try out this restaurant and I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to do so. The butter and the naan breads were all delicious. The restaurant was clean and the staff were welcoming and friendly. I will most definitely be returning here again.

Will definitely be back! This is a cute date night spot. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was delicious! We got way too much, but no regrets! Yum!: Veggie korma - spice 4 Butter chicken - spice 4 Paneer tikka tandoori - spice 6

Saying I recommend Flavor of Himalaya in San Marcos is an extreme understatement. This is the best I've had in North County San Diego, by a LANDSLIDE! Can't wait to go dine in the restaurant, but if it was this amazing even via delivery, my mind might actually melt from happiness in person. 13/10 Here's what we had - Chicken Momo Onion Kulcha Naan Cheese Naan Raita Yogurt Sauce Mixed Carrot Pickle Baigan Bharata Mango Chicken Basmati Rice

Food (5/5 stars): Flavors of Himalaya is a great Indian restaurant in San Marcos! The Paneer Masala and Veggie Nirvana were very flavorful and the spice levels were on point. I just wished the garlic naan was a little fluffier. Looking forward to trying more dishes here! Experience (/5 stars): * Price: reasonable * Wait Time: minimal on a Friday night for a party of 2 * Service: very good and friendly * Parking: there's a parking lot * Ambiance: it's a nice looking restaurant!
